Gophers cornerback and kick returner Jalen Myrick remained hospitalized Sunday in Columbus, Ohio, after suffering a rib injury on the opening kickoff of Saturday's 28-14 loss to Ohio State.
Minnesota interim head coach Tracy Claeys said the hope is Myrick is able to be released from the hospital Monday.
"He will be fine, but I would be shocked if he was ready to go for next weekend," Claeys said.
Myrick continued to play after the injury and had one tackle and 1/2 tackles for lost and 1/2 sack before giving way in the second half to true freshman KiAnte Hardin.
